Home Movie Day is all about celebrating those long forgotten memories and bringing them back to life on the big screen. Each reel brought to the event will be inspected for damage and overall health. If deemed safe to project, the reel will be cleaned and repaired by a volunteer archivist before being screened in the main hall. We promise to show at least one of your films, and while you’re waiting for your debut you can enjoy the films of your friends and neighbors as they bask in spotlight.

We accept 8mm, Super8, and 16mm films for screening. Any other film stocks are welcome to be brought for consideration by the UCF Home Movie Archive, but cannot be projected during the event. If a reel or collection of reels is deemed unhealthy or unsafe for projection, the film will not be screened during the event but may still qualify for donation to the UCF Home Movie Archive.
